I ordered 2 sizes in this dress for my October 31 wedding. They came yesterday. The print is gorgeous and the sleeves are lovely, but the way the tiers are made is so awkward and unbecoming if you have a butt at all. The first tier in the skirt hits just under my butt. It’s tight. Like to the point you can’t sit down or it would rip. It shortens the waist as well. I’m so feeling upset. My colors for the wedding were originally based around this dress, including the dress I got for my attendant. Now I have no dress - my wedding is 35 days away, and because they will not refund $$, I have $150 tied up in this store. I don’t want to order anything else for fear of having even more $$ tied up here before it’s all said and done. Lots of tears the last 24hrs.
I had my eye on this for a long time and ordered it as soon as it was available. The fabric and print is so pretty. But I was so sad to discover that it didn't work for me. I usually wear an XL/16 in dresses, so I ordered this in an XL. It fits perfectly up top, but the first tier below the waist is cut awkwardly snug. The way it falls on my body, that first tier falls just below my tummy; and because I have a larger tummy and hips, that part of my body is perfectly accentuated by the line of the tier. It seriously makes me look about 8 months pregnant. If that first tier wasn't there, or perhaps not sewn so small, the dress would be perfect. So so sad, but I'll be returning this.
This dress is super pretty on the model, but the tiers on the skirt are not stretchy at all. I have to pull the dress down so it doesn’t bunch up around the hips because it doesn’t quite fit over my bum. I don’t think I could sit in it either for fear of ripping the seam across the hips altogether. I’m only 5’10 size 8, and all the other mediums I have ordered have been too much fabric and too large, and so I thought with the details on this dress explicitly saying to order down a size if you want a tighter fit, I should try it out. The other seams (shoulders, arms, and waist) are stretchy, so I really don’t get why the tiered seams down the skirt aren’t. Overall disappointed.
