Lucienne Shimmer Maxi Gown

I had been on the hunt for an emerald green dress for months. This dress came up during my search and I hesitated based on the reviews regarding the excessive glitter/sequin shedding. Despite the negativity, I loved the color, shape, and pattern. I ordered a medium (I'm 5'7, ~148 pounds) and the cupping in the dress was kinda loose/baggy on the sides (I'm a 34 C) and the dress was surprisingly quite long! My initial thoughts were the dress did have a chemical odor and there was glitter fallout, which I expected. My mom tailored the dress to fit me better by stabilizing the straps (the spaghetti straps have an adjuster on them but it wouldn't stay in place), adding a stitch so the dress wasn't so low cut, and cutting about 3-4 inches off the bottom.

Overall, the dress is beautiful and the color is vibrant. I was pleased with how it looked on the wedding day and it was comfortable enough to wear for 12 hours. There is ton and tons of glitter/sequin shedding so be prepared to vacuum out your car lol.

The other comments do it no justice, no matter how much you shake it, the glitter never stops flowing and there's glitter on everything in my house. Trying it on, I had so much glitter on me that I had to take a shower. There are no tags on this dress, so I thought washing it alone would remove a lot of the glitter shed. Instead it caused all of the glitter to fall off in huge chunks which are nearly impossible to remove from my washer. The Dress looks terrible now and the site will not help you once you're at this point and claims there is a tag that says you cannot dry clean it (so you wear a nasty dress all the time?) And you can only spot clean it. I double and tripled checked and there isn't a tag for cleaning instructions. I will not buy from this store again. This is a complete waste.
