Joanie Smocked Dress

I ordered this dress for family pictures this year. I’ve ordered from Baltic Born before without issue, but make sure you order at least a month in advance of when you want to receive an item (I live 30 mins from their warehouse and it still took nearly a week for the package to arrive after it took a week to ship). Dress is stunning (color is more saturated in person and more of an apple green than sage but still very pretty). Very flattering on my 5’9” 200 lbs hourglass frame (I ordered XL). I was super excited about it. Wore it for the first time to family pictures and discovered midway through the 1 hour session that there was a gaping hole in the seam near the bottom of the dress. I didn’t want to return it or get a new dress, I just emailed asking if there was something to do to repair the dress because I was heartbroken that such an expensive dress was already damaged (because I didn’t inspect all the seams when it arrived, I have no idea if it came damaged or if it happened during a photo session. Regardless, because it happened along a seam and not in the middle of the fabric it suggests poor construction to me more than my not being careful enough). Claim was denied which is frustrating but in line with their posted policy. I’ve had other companies that really stand by their products repair things with button, snap, or seam issues in the first 90 days because they believe their products should stand up to people wearing them. As silly as it sounds, I almost cried…
